Two middle-aged, middle managers dreaming of teenage glories plot to escape their humdrum lives for a day.
Have you ever dreamed of escaping the daily grind? Or about the life you could’ve lived?
Chris and Peter - two middle-aged, middle managers - share a daily motorway commute through Lancashire to their ordinary office jobs. But when rare sunny weather prompts Peter to reminisce about his teenage escapades in Blackpool, it sparks an idea. What if - just for a day - they could escape their humdrum lives by bunking off work to enjoy everything ‘the Vegas of the North’ has to offer?
Set and shot in beautiful North West England, SLOTS is a story commuters everywhere will relate to. A dream of escaping routine and responsibility for a day, and ultimately learning that joy can be found in the smallest of things and strangest of places.
Based on the award winning script by Anthony Povah and featuring music by Animal Collective, SLOTS is the first film from Canadian/Iranian producer Maryam Ghorbankarimi under the reborn Bina Film brand.
